It’s been a bit of a nightmare trying to get the piece out this week. I’m back in South East Asia and I’ve been having mass issues with the WIFI in my apartment. When asking my Vietnamese landlord to fix the issue, he responded with “Let’s have a beer and we’ll worry about it later?”. Needless to say, I took the beer – which actually ended up being ten – and decided that the coffee shop’s WiFi would suffice.
Anyway, because the article is late, I will be focusing my attention on Sunday’s Mitre 10 Cup and French Top 14 action Both tournaments throw up tasty bills which will, at a minimum provide numerous hours of great entertainment and hopefully be rather profitable too.
Both competitions have proved to be rather profitable for me over the last couple weeks. And as the old adage goes, if it ain’t broke, why bloody try and fix it?
This Weekend’s Tips
NZ Mitre 10 Cup
Wellington -9 v North Harbour 9/10
The first of this weekend’s tips is Wellington to beat North Harbour by nine points or more. The hosts rested a boatload of first stringers this midweek as they went down to Waikato.
After the midweek loss, I can see Wellington making a big statement here. Their big guns will be back and they should have no problems overcoming an extremely modest handicap.
French Top 14
The second of my tips really is a tasty sort with reigning Top 14 Champs Castres priced up at an absurd 41/13 to beat a flailing Toulon side.
