WP Let us Down
Goonchie’s Call #28
WP let us down. Last week there were a few unlucky moments and after a convincing 1st half performance, Province let us down with a less than desirable 2nd half showing.
In general it wasn’t the best rugby weekend I’ve had in a while from a betting perspective but on a positive note… Tiger is back! Managed to catch an each way bet with him and although it’s not rugby related, always worth mentioning one of the greatest athletes of all time!
Anyway, back to business.
Leinster Outright (7/10)
Connacht are at home to Leinster on Saturday in what will be a great Irish clash. Leinster are one of the best teams in Europe and their evergreen form has proved that. You could say it’s Ireland vs Connacht almost with that lineup. Leinster have had one blip this season against Scarlets away which went down to the wire and they just missed out.
The line up for me is just to strong against a Connacht side that can be hit and miss so I’m going with the fact that Leinster are consistent and with their quality they also know how to grind out results.
Never look a gift horse 7/10 in the mouth.
South Africa by 13 or more (17/10)
South Africa are a confidence team and thrive on momentum.
I believe that the New Zealand win has galvanized the team and will get the team headed in the direction of a winning culture. Australia haven’t impressed me and although they have a few notable inclusions, I think home ground advantage will be worth quite a few points.
Our tight 5 in particular will be the point of difference because regardless of everything I’ve mentioned above, Australia’s backline is very strong.
The weather is good and I believe South Africa will score a minimum of 5 tries and will match it with a great defensive effort.
It is a value Bet and the safe bet is to take South Africa win at 5/10 but at 13 or more at 17/10 I am a customer.
