Final Whistle #40
It’s a bumper week on the southern hemisphere’s domestic front with four finals taking place between Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th. I’m personally not the biggest fan of punting on finals as they tend to be rather tense affairs which I end up losing money on. If you’re like me and also struggle to find a winner when it comes to the end of a tournament I may have a solution for you.
Are you Brave?
I usually start my Monday’s by taking a quick look at Oddschecker and what caught my eye this week was a four-legged domestic multiple that offers some solid value. The first two legs come courtesy of the Mitre 10 Cup. One of them is a bit of a risk as it involves Canterbury beating Auckland away from home. The second of the Mitre legs seems an absolute banker with the mighty Waikato taking on a solid yet limited Otago side.
The third leg is a Fijian Drua win against Queensland Country in the NRC final. The Drua have been in magnificent form this term and I cannot see them losing this one at home.
Mitre 10 Playoff’s
I like these sorts of multiples as it sort of gives you the weekend off from punting – you strike your best early and grab some beers and just enjoy it unfold. It also gives a great opportunity to arb if you make it through the first three legs.
- Waikato Win (Mitre 10 Championship Final)
- Canterbury Win (Mitre 10 Premiership Final)
- Fijian Drua Win (NRC Final)
- Western Province Win (Currie Cup Final)
- New Zealand Win (Bledisloe 3)
