England v New Zealand
A Watered Down Clash?
England v New Zealand, the rugby pundits wanted this game a year ago. It’s here now, but a watered down clash is all we can expect. I am sorry but looking at this week’s handicap it’s clear that the Bookies do not rate this game highly. A year ago this game would have been a proper challenge. Unfortunately England have had a shocking year and if they are to put up a fight, it’s going to be an uphill one.
Reading my text above it won’t take a rocket scientist to work out what I am thinking. This week I read an interesting post on how New Zealand are up for another World Record. I know there are stats guys out there that love a stat, but I did not think anyone watched everything.
NZ v Nambia
Apparently New Zealand along with minnows Namibia are both sitting on a run of 13 games scoring 4 tries or more, both are within a chance of recording a record. Namibia face Russia this weekend, NZ face England. New Zealand are favourites to get the record, it will be hard for Namibia to get four in Russia, but stranger things have happened.
Back to this game, England will be thinking they have a chance because they beat a very good Springbok team last week. I will be first to stand up and say England were lucky! South Africa had them and in my opinion there was no point during that game where I thought the Boks would lose?
I obviously got it wrong, but more about the Boks in their preview. Let’s look at NZ. The All Blacks bar having a ZERO SUM GAME with the Boks have had a special year. New Zealand beat all three handicaps v Aussie, OK we know they are rubbish at the mo. Last week’s Japanese game also got a minus, the French were beaten comfortably but such was the high minus they faced, they only beat one.
This game I am going a bit bolder than usual with price, and keeping stakes lower. I am of the opinion that New Zealand will have far too much for this England outfit and should put them away. For the board punters, I cannot see anything else other than a big All Black win.
