France v Argentina
I Love this Fixture
France v Argentina, I love this fixture. Argentinians as we all know mostly played in France up until a couple of years ago. In South Africa a Couple is not necessarily two!
Last time out France lost to Argentina, yes it was five years ago. Argentina have had a decent track record against Les Blues.
This week’s handicap is precariously set at 5.5. This handicap is interesting, it’s not full of value, but it’s a runner. Argentina have been thrashed before in France, when I say thrashed I mean by more than 7pts.
A Soccer Stadium with a Roof?!
France have avoided Stade de France this week, seemingly a good venue for Los Pumas. They have instead gone for Lille, a small northern town in France. France have gone back to, believe it or not a Soccer stadium. This stadium was host to its first Rugby Intl. when the very same fixture took place and France prevailed by 17pts.
France will have to play superbly to win this game by 17pts. Such has been the resurgence of Argentinian rugby since Mario Ledesma took over.
This stadium, has a roof, yes a roof that closes in an incredible fifteen minutes. So for those points ‘WEATHER’ punters out there, take note!
My Call here is one of price, although there is not too much value about Los Pumas on the handicap, I do feel at 2/1 the visitors have a little to offer.
I would be a mug not to consider 2/1 about Argentina to be value. I will have a little go here, ok maybe a bit bigger than a little, but I am interested in the tourists.
Kick off is scheduled for 22h05 GMT +2 on Saturday in Lille. The referee for this game will be Glen Jackson (NZ), Click here for the Weather in Paris and if you want to follow the game on Twitter click here for the Hashtag #FRAvARG
Call: Argentina to win on the board at 2/1 for 2 units
